My aim goes up when my FPS goes up. Once I run into early mid-game and there are cysts and crap everywhere, I find it much harder to aim because nothing is smooth anymore.
You really feel this as game go on. Early game I can be taking 2 or 3 Skulks at once. Then by mid game against exactly the same Skulks I struggle to take out 1. By the end the only thing I can reliably hit is an Onos.
I should probably turn my settings down even further, but except textures (medium), anti aliasing (on) and resolution (1280x800) everything's already at minimum. And my machine isn't bad, gtx 580, a 3 GHz i7 950 and 12GB of memory.
If they keep pushing the performance requirements down more and more people are going to be able to aim properly.
Your system is great. Something's up if you need anything on min. Do you have a 1920x1080 resolution option? If so, I'd try AA and AO off with a 1920x1080 res. Your gpu and CPU are great. Also, what psu?

I'd bump up that CPU to 3.5GHz right off the bat. I'm running an i7 860 (2.66GHz) overclocked to 3.5 and it massively improved performance for me. Those i7 860-920-950 series are awesome overclockers, you won't need to bump up the voltage at all, and so long as you've got a cooler that's better than the stock, you'll not notice much, if any increase in temps. Even the stock cooler isn't THAT bad for these... though I use a prolimatech megahalems which is awesome!

It's good but it's getting on to 2 years old now.
Performance in this game seems odd. A lot of people with good setups seem to really struggle and vice versa some with average setups seem ok.
I do. Haven't used it, I don't see how a higher resolution is going to make anything better though.
Corsair TX 750W, which should be good enough from what I've read.
ahahahahaha why you so funny.
