Natural Selection 2: NS1 Edition

Hi guys, I have definitely fallen out of love with ns2, and ns1 is pretty much dead now. My question is: is it possible to write a mod that makes ns2 play like ns1? remove alien comm, gorges build all structures, fades aren't terrible, etc. Hopefully someone can provide a little insight, thanks!

There's already a mod like this, it's called NS2 classic mod
