I'd say whips will slow a marine team down by about one minute maximum (marines can snipe it using either range or peeking around corners), or warn of / prevent a sneak phase gate, but that's about it. There are better uses for resources imo.

It's like a slightly stronger version of the turret, but with the arc mixed in (bile bomb thing)

Also hard counter to GL. I use about 6-10 max in a game, and only then if they spam G's.

Only for mid-late game where you put your crags for a healing base.

Obivous troll post. Only get whips when marines get gls, or when you're already swimming in resources.
