quick question - does Umbra protect structures as well?

I really like the Umbra upgrade for the Lerk...combined with Adrenaline and spores, it's the ultimate ranged support system.
But I asked this question several times ingame, but no-one could give me a certain answer:

Does Umbra block 50% of damage on structures as well?

    umbra doesn't block 50% damage.
Just 1 in every 2 bullets.
Small technicality i know buuut, well..

Yes, it should, as the cloud is the bullet reducing effect. However, I don't think structures will have the vapours that players get running around in umbra.

You can test this kind of easily to confirm.

Umbra negates 1 bullet for every 2 that would hit an alien player.

It does not work on structures.

Interestingly, Umbra will not affect damage from non-bullet sources, such as flamethrowers, grenades and mines.

    thank you, guys.

About those flamethrowers: do they remove umbra just like they can remove spores?

If I had the chance I would have tried to test it online...but battles are often so hectic, no time for that :P
