Dedicated server, Problems getting started - Help!

Hey there :-)

Due to the release of the Marines Vs Marines mod, i had problems finding a server running it. So i thought i would start one myself...

So now i have rented a server with 20 slots, to do the job.

The ways to config it is through TCadmin and NS2 Web admin.

I can get the server up & running. But i can't get the Marines Vs Marines mod to work. On the NS2 web admin, i go into the MOD tab and click the + sign at the mod. But when i return to MAP tab, it doesent show up at all....

Kinda confused about how to get this up and working :-)

Help?

Heindrik, do you have access to any logs of the server console itself? I am guessing that the download of the mod is failing as this is the problem I am having with Team Work And Tactics servers

I am assuming you have BlueFang as your host. You have to make a ticket for that and have them add the mod for you. You can't really install mods yourself with Bluefang.

You get full access to the command line at NS2Servers.com - You can change anything (player count, server name, password, mods) at any time without having to create a support ticket.

    :)

The server is rented at Jestservers.com.

The support have helped me setting up the server with the mod (not tested yet). Its a quick and responsive support. (to anyone who consider renting servers).

They set it up through the TCadmin.

That's so clumsy. They don't give any ftp access to their costumers? Trust issue or what? (v_v)

Tons of mod to try out and each time the costumer tries out they need to wait and write a ticket... So bad ... BAD bluefang. :(:(:(
