Marine vision

Aliens have alien vision to assist them in tracking marines. Why can't marines have the same ability to track aliens?

So I thought about Marine goggles or Marine motion tracking system (Can't think of a good name at the moment). As you can see from third person, marines have the blue hologram screen in front of their eyes (Look at right side of website to see marine). Basically, the commander can research "Motion tracking goggles" from the prototype lab or armory and each individual marine can purchase it for a reasonable amount of res. I believe 5 res is a good amount, but it can be changed.

The vision would be somewhat similar to night vision goggles or simply alien vision but everything is in green rather than the orange (Colors can vary, maybe blue will be better). If that is not satisfactory, then perhaps the vision can be the motion tracking that exos have or when the commander scans (enemies have a circle around them and it is easier to spot enemies).

(Originally, I thought about the goggles being able to see invisible enemies too, but I decided that it would be unbalanced if it did that.)

On death, the goggles are lost and the marine has to purchase it again just like jetpacks.

In my opinion, I think this is a fairly balanced item and you will be able to spot lerks hiding on the mountain on crevice easier or spot skulks hiding on the ceiling easier.

What do you think? Is this upgrade useful and balanced? Please give me your honest opinions. Thank you.

    No.
It's dedicated for aliens because it was originally buiilt upon hivesight, and their being a singular lifeform (the khaaraa) and anyway, aliens need stealth, if marines can always see them.. gg aliens.

Thank you for your opinion. I didn't see it that way until you mentioned it. However, they can still use camo or sit near a shade so they can't be seen by the goggles. Would that still be unbalanced?

The game is built around asymmetry, and that would be a bit more symmetric. As mentioned before, half of aliens power comes from stealth, not meaning just from shade hive. I mean stealthy movement and stuff. If aliens were just visible it would be pretty op. 5res would be a joke. Id go 15res or higher if it were even if it did happen to be put in.

Yet aliens will have their own phase gate mechanic now.

Portable motion tracking won't happen at any cost. Player wall hax will not be added imo

    They do, it's called scan/observatory.

Yes, an asymetric version of the PGs that marines can use (and only take pitiful damage in) for their benefit, unlike aliens and PGs.
