Viewports rendering on top of one another

Last night I was trying to get perspective view to be the only one visible, having just finished a layout and wanting to show it off. I went to the menu bar and selected Viewport>Perspective, I suspect this was while the perspective view was the active view. I might be a bit off on the steps to recreate the issue because I panicked a bit after what happened...

All four views seem to be placed on top of one another, no matter what I do to make them go back to normal. I have included a link to a screenshot to show what is happening, in the SS it shows what happens when I try to select something(the blue rectangles), it shows the perspective arrows cascading and blurring together, and it shows the grid blurring. Also note that the names of the viewports are being placed over one another, this happens in all of the views when I try to switch them.

I have tried closing and reopening the spark editor, as well as restarting the computer. How can I fix this problem?

Edit: here is the list of errors that appear when the spark editor loads - http://i.imgur.com/rlFPY9Q.png

Edit 2: reinstalling fixed it... this was after I tried deleting cache files. Before the reinstall I found that builder was missing from my system, why on earth would that disappear?

I just tried to reproduce what happened to you based on your steps and got nothing out of the ordinary. It looks like what happened is that the shader file for drawing the editor background was missing or corrupt. Honestly, with Builder missing as well, it sounds like something funny happened to your install.

So that you know, Viewport > Perspective will only change the currently active viewport to perspective mode (the same as changing it via the menu in the top left of each viewport). If you want to maximise a viewport, select it and then hit the button on the far right of the toolbar:

Hit it again to toggle back to the 4-view mode.
