Balance? At least not immersion or asymmetry this time. Yet I fail to see how it might be a big balance change to increase the visibility of spit and bile bomb in AV. Right now it almost looks like a bug to me, more than a balance feature.
I am guessing because spit blinds marines and they wanted the trade off of having alien vision off to increase risk and the same goes for bile bomb to turn it off for aiming and to decrease awareness. Of course that's just a guess so I am sure IronHorse has more details on the facts.
