Audio input switching barely works

I regularly switch between digital output and analog speakers. I tried switching inputs in the game last night, and it resulted in a 30 second freeze. While the game did eventually come back to life, the input didn't switch. Oddly enough, the tutorial videos (that play at respawn) were playing out of my speakers, and the game was coming out of my headphones.

Devs should look into this.
