As as far as the occasional visual bug goes, I kinda like this one. Player in question was hovering all over the map and even through PGs. Clearly has mastered Zen of Sudoku and become the perfect marine.

Correct, adjusted OP to reflect this. Very fun to follow perfect zen guy around. Especially when he is blowing away skulks w/o getting touched.

It's the silent marine glitch, it happens because ladders don't work right iirc. It corrects itself if you jump, so if that guy was doing it all mach he was probably exploiting it intentionally.
