disk write error

I really wish to play this game, but it seems at every attempt at installation on steam I get this error; "disk write failure". Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Any help is appreciated. :)

    this can be from anti viral programs running, insufficient permissions (admin), HD space, or even some more edge case issues like a failing HD or OS /registry corruption.

    So.. this definitely sounds like an issue between steam and your hardware, basically, so i would do some googling and see if you can find anything from other users who have had this error.

    I would start checking the event viewer. If it is a hard disk fail, good chance it will say something about it.
