Crashing on load screen when alt tabbed

This is close to 100% crash rate when I alt tab before or during a load screen, error pops up with engine failed to render in a nice white box, I'm so used to alt tabbing and checking FB or talking to people that I'm clearing myself out of servers every round since the patch.

    Crashing is most likely to happen even you wait until the game has loaded sadly, just try and use the steam browser :)

    This is known, and is not really a high priority as long as the game can alt tab while playing.
    It occurs much less with fullscreen windowed, btw.

    many many many games are prone to crash in fullscreen if you are not playing in windowed mode.

    I gave up a few years back trying, and now run every game which has the option, in windowed mode. :)
