Waypoint routing

I would like the ability to set a waypoint path with Drifters, walking whips, MAC's and ARC's to give them a path to follow, an area to patrol or an order to assist of my choosing instead of having to give each order continuously. see this link to a video of supreme commander forged alliance for an example of what i mean by this
