Commander unit selection bug

I posted this in the official b241 thread but it quickly got swept under the carpet of balance posts so I thought I'd make a thread here in case this hasn't been picked up by the devs yet:

Previously when you selected a structure, unit or player and then held down shift and selected a second and then a third, all 3 would be selected. Now when you do the same, the first gets deselected and you are left with only the second and third. I think that's as clearly as I can describe it, try it in-game, using shift to select 3 or more things one at a time, you are left with all of them selected EXCEPT the first one.
N.B. sometimes it still works properly, but more often than not the first thing gets deselected when you shift-click the second thing.

This makes adding stuff to existing groups much harder as the group you select will get deselected when you shift-click the next thing you wanted to add.

Example - I have 2 ARCs set us group 5, a MAC pops out of the robo and I want to add it to the group, but when I hit 5, hold down shift, and select the MAC, I am left with only the MAC selected, where previously I would have the MAC + both ARCs selected so I could reset group 5, now if I hit the same combination of keys I would be left with just the 1 MAC in group 5 and 2 ARCs unassigned.

This is a new problem that has slipped in since they added the ability to use shift to add things to you selection (I think), which was a nice addition, though it would be nicer if you could just select something and click shift+5 to add it to group 5, like in starcraft, rather than having to click 5, then shift-click new unit, then reset group 5 (which worked before this bug appeared).

Also - it would be awesome if you could make all the control groups respond like the 'idle worker' button - i.e. you click the group number and your screen gets transported to that group (or one player/structure in that group if there are > 1 ). Even better if you could just tap the number twice on your keyboard for that effect, like in most RTS games.
