Competitve 1st person livestreams

Yo,

I have been thinking about establishing a twitch channel just for 1st person streaming during PCW's (no boring PUB play, no gathers). My goal is to show NS2 in a competitve 6v6 environment to a wider audience.

Usually I play between 20:00 and 23:00 CET

You would really help me if you post some feedback about the execution and the quality (kinda limited since I can only stream with 2000kbps max)

    Thanks for putting this up. For me the purpose of watching this type of video is to see top players technique so as to improve my own. I am not really experienced in lerk play so its really informative to see what your doing to make it work.

    Because thats what I watch this type of video for, theres not alot you can do to improve it other then just post more!

    If I had to say something it would be awesome if you could speak to the viewer, and add why you are positioning yourself in certain ways, gives tips like that. However, I realize of course that doing so is pretty difficult while in the middle of heated battle.

    The next videos will probably include some comments and tips especially for new players. I think the downtime when respawning or healing is a good opportunity to explain stuff.

    Maybe ask the person being followed in first person if they'd be willing to do a commentary over the top, at a later date?

    Explain what they were doing, why they were doing it, how well it worked, etc. ?

    eißfeldt, look for virtual audio cables, shouldnt be that hard to make a record device with all the audio sources you need :)

    I actually don't really stream much anymore... a couple builds ago, my FPS started taking a huge hit when i stream. I can't really tolerate a massive FPS dump during streaming, as it really makes the game pretty unenjoyable.

    When it repairs through either updates to the capture software I use, release of new sexy PC hardware I acquire, or fixes in optimization, i'll resume lots of streaminz!

    NS2hub.com doesn't seem to have been updated since Decemeber... so ... and the last forum post was three weeks ago. I also notice that Hugh's NS2HD hasn't been updated since December =\
