Remember Gamespy Server browser? NS2 server API polling

Is there currently any client for windows that allows polling of NS2 servers for basic info like:
Player Name
Stead ID (maybe)
Kills
Deaths
Score
I'm asking because I remember the old days you used to be able to scan servers for players you might have bumped into, but not had a chance to add on steam, etc. Or to find more competitive games.
If not, do the servers allow polling of this information? If so where is the API spec? Creating a client of even a web site as a service wouldn't be difficult with this information.
