Marine "drifters", instant walls

I came across a few games where e.g. on Veil aliens drop a gorge tunnel in Topographical or Skylights and in a few seconds you get a never ending flood of aliens. It's quite easy to do that especially when most of the team is defending Sub Sector or Pipeline. The worst part though is that you can't really see it coming any way - it doesn't require infestation or any other thing. Sure you can drop sentries or an observatory everywhere near your main base but it is ridiculous.
My idea is to give marines something analogical to drifters - cameras. They can be placed on walls just like hydras and have a field of view just like sentries. They don't allow you to see hidden or cloaked aliens though.
Another thing is about blocking corridors. Sure, we have mines (which are okay) but late game makes them useless. While watching some competetive games I came across a different kind of issue - commanders usually build armories to stop onai from rushing into rooms. It's a valid tactical movement but... looks kind of silly. Space Marines don't need to build buildings to barricade the way - they just make a barricade. That's why I believe we need something like "nanowall". It would be quite useful especially if it could be bought in an armory just like any other weapon and could be dropped by any marine anywhere on the map, creating something that works just like the gorge wall (not too big though, we'd still need teamwork to properly secure a corridor) e.g. a wall made of a ray of light. I'd like to see e.g. marines using such walls to block the exit for an escaping onos which is also a very often used tactic (but usually the commandor need to do that all by himself) or just blocking a corridor entrance so the aliens can't rush into a room too fast.

If you give Rines a drifter equivalent, you'd need to add a Scan equivalent for the aliens.
Cameras might work, though. Provided they dont have much health, ofc.
The cameras would make aliens visible on the minimap just like drifters do, that's why the subject is called "Marine drifters" (they don't move nor drift though). As for looking on the minimap - it shows only those targets which are attacking your units/structures or are near a player, an observatory or a drifter. That's why I guess we need something like "drifters" but on the marine side - they don't have any observation unit except the observatory (which costs a lot) or sentries (which cost a lot as well).
that was in past and i hope they never learn it again
alright, I smell what you're cookin, that might be pretty cool.
