Performance problem comparing my homepc to netcafe

Okay here's my problem - I''ve played NS2 at home and netcafe. At home it seems to be running worse about 20fps in combat while it runs smoothly 60fps+ at netcafe but homepc system seems to be better or i'm wrong?
-Home pc (running ns2 all on lowest quality)
Windows 7 64bit
Dual core2 2.9ghz
Geforce gt440
3gb ram
-Netcafe pc (running ns2 with some medium quality settings)
Windows xp
Dual core2 2.66ghz
Gefore 8800gt
2gb ram
So what's the difference ? Also home pc is fully configured to push out maximum performance.
Sorry for my bad english , hopefully it's understandable.

Windows 7 is a lot better then xp mate.
Both the 8800 and the 440 are low end video cards. But no need to call suck. The cpu on the win7 and the xp one aint that bad.

it is however more to the minimal requirements then to the max.

Nope, with those RAM win XP is a lot better than 7. Those graphic cards were good in 2007, now we are talking about 2012 published game with poor performance.

Any suggestions for a enough powerful graphic card to run ns2 smoothly 60fps+ then? I don't need an superior graphic card of course ...

I seriously doubt that netcafe PC actually runs NS2 at 60fps+ during heavy combat.

I agree with @ScardyBob, my 7970 struggles to get 70+fps when there's a lot going on screen.

As for suggestions, a good gpu is the 7770, it won't max ns2 out but if you turn some settings down you should be able to have the game look good and run well at 1080p. Although your cpu and ram will also hold you back, since you can't get lga 775 cpus new these days, you're in for a complete upgrade. I can recommend parts depending on what you want to achieve with ns2 (max it out, enjoy with lowered settings, enjoy with very high settings) but you'll have to give some indication of what you want to do first.

Just remember that CPU is a bigger bottleneck than GPU for NS2 most often. Runnin around 2.9gHz is a little on the lower end. Something closer to 3.4-4Ghz is ideal I think.
