How do you make chat binds

I wanted some binds I could just push say, h and say something. But google hasn't turned up the command to bind such commands and guessing didn't work either.

Yeah bind h "stuff" doesn't do anything. I know the syntax, like say bind k kill would obviously make you kill yourself. I need the command that makes it chat.

The command IS say, just don't know how to bind it, perhaps bind H say "bla" with the quotes only happening after the say command?

All commands and keys are case sensitive, btw.
So all letters should be capitalized when binding.

That's pretty stupid, just sayin, why not include a tolower function following command input?

I'll bet that including a space in your "say" <something>'s something will confuse it. I can't test it atm but try say "something with spaces".

If that works, the problem then becomes convincing the bind command to accept spaces in its bind. Maybe:
bind H "say 'something with spaces'"

If there is no say command (like how J3 doesn't exist) well. nuts.

As I know the say command works only for admin.

AFAIK you can't bind commands to say something, at least nothing I tried worked and I've been told so I thread I created as well.

I can't believe the OP is getting flak for this request. I would like this too. A simple TeamSay command could help tremendously to communicate. Acknowledgements, current locations, requesting backup, intent to attack etc.
There are situations where a player doesn't use VOIP or can't use it. Think of kids crying in the background, music playing, someone talking to you in RL.

Stop arguing the function. Support or don't support and just let it be.

Devs, please consider adding teamsay binds.

tab to complete, say, say_team, binding keys not being as restrictive as it is now (case sensitive, etc) are all things that would improve the console a lot.
