"Sayings" menus; ZXC or wheel

How many people here feel that the switch to the "wheel" chat system was an improvement over the old system of Z, X, or C followed by a number?
Personally, I feel that the old sayings menu was much easier to use and had more utility, as well as not interfering with mouse movement.
The new "wheel" system obstructs the player's view, and messes with their aim since it requires mouse movement.
The sayings menu is incredibly useful for encouraging teamwork, especially for people who don't have a mic, and thus needs to be as functional and easy to use as possible.
Example:
Pressing z, 4 to request a teammate weld you (shows a weld icon with an arrow)
Pressing z, 5 to tell a teammate you are covering them while they build (also with an icon)
