Commander - Marines
Well, Have you ever wondered how to be a good commander or ever wanted to know some tips...Well here's a general topic about how to be a good commander and how to lead your team to a victory! Yes, you can do it with perfection and some practice. Even if you are a newbi, you must try it and get used to it or else how are you going to become one? Be patient if your commander doesn't know how to do stuff and think twice before clicking on the eject button because remember you were a newbi when you started out as well..We need more commanders that are good because teams usually loose if the commander has no clue whatsoever on what he is doing...Help him out and tell him what to do. If any of you guys have tips on how to be a good commander, post it here.

Ok, do no put the base all close together what ever you do... put infantry portals hidden by cc with a turret factory hidden also, put turrets around portals, factory and cc, put armory, armslab and prototype lab in the same corner. Thats how to get a good base as a commander.
DONT BLOODY FLAME HIM, HIS JUST TRYING TO HELP NEWBIES WHO WANT TO BE COMMANDER, WE COULD DO WITH SOME MORE COMMANDERS.
For commanding, the biggest thing I try to stress is BE OFFENSIVE. If the aliens are defending their hive, yes I say hive, more on this later, they have no chance to come attack you.
Take two hives right away, if you can't take two, take one and move your base there. I mean, your entire base. CC, IPs, everything. The marine spawn has no strategic value other than the fact that it has a resource. A hive, on the other hand, will protect you from bile bomb, onos, and spores, helping you secure a victory.
The moment your hive base is set up, send 3/4 of your team out to the next hive, either claiming it or destroying it, depending on how fast the aliens are. Siege it if you have to. Once you take the second hive, its an easy glide to victory
Coming from somone without a November join date, I like to think that carries a little bit of weight.
Actually, the word Chronos would be from greek and means "time" or "passage of time", which makes your name completely borked? And I don't consider Chrono Trigger to be even worth mentioning in the best 5 CRPGs I've played.
Anyway:
Try to get your marines to keep in small groups, whether by punishing those who do not by not giving them equipment or by rewarding the ones who do with better stuff, feel free to think up different ways to force someone into a team role. Sooner or later, either the rambos will have quit or are walking alongside others.
Make it clear to your team that you can't miraculously know where everyone is at any given moment and that giving a rough location will make your assistance more likely
Don't turret farm your main base too much.
