I'm in love with build 250!

I've played NS2 casually for quite a long time on and off and enjoying my time playing recently before the new build released, but sadly also seeing player numbers going down every time I get on, because of the balance problems that continue to arise. To me, this build has helped me enjoy the game even more! I want to thank the developers for not giving up on NS2! You did great with Build 250!
Anyways, I guess I'm in the minority of players who love this new build. I feel it's going into the right direction, because it feels refreshing to play NS2 now. I also seem to enjoy Aliens more even though I have to relearn everything. I think that's what I love the most, trying out new things, because I see others whining about it, while me, I love to try the new and improved Fade! I'm sure not everyone is as upset as I see in-game, but we should give the developers a chance. I'm sure they want to see this game succeed as much as I do Give Indie devs a chance.
Let's hope we see more great ideas implemented into our NS2! The more the better!
I'll close by asking a question. What happen to Weldable doors/vents?? This is something I loved in NS1. I remember a great map in NS1 that made it important to weld the vents near your base. I know NS2 is a different game, but one can dream!!

If you go into explore mode and look at a door, it will tell you explicitly, "Doors and vents will be able to be welded shut in the future." Hope that answers your last tidbit.
But anyways, glad you're enjoying build 250! (As I am too )
there was sooooo much that simply had to be done. alien tech was boring, movement was flat/slow, there was too much obsolete tech etc etc. pretty much everything is now viable in pub play, and i believe a damn sight more is viable in comp play than 249. there's just so much more variety.
also, it's more difficult for good marines to kill a good skulk, yet marines have a but of an easier time against higher lifeforms. this isn't key for balance - because 'balance' is more due to strategy/economy/macro - but it makes marine versus alien duels faaaaaaar more fun to play and spectate.
250 coupled with the performance boosting update.... wow.... ns2 looks like an AAA studio game, and plays better.
now this game deserves more players, and i feel bad saying that because i'm not playing much myself...
