Input lags, but game runs fine

So I have been looking for what to call this, I am not sure if it is a common issue. Basically my keyboard and mouse inputs queue up and take a few seconds to apply tot he game. Frame rates stay high, Network latency seems good, the game appears to continue running fine all around me. If I happen to have the map up when I loose control like this I can see everyone going about their business, and voice chatter is uninterrupted.

The net effect is for about 10-30 seconds I end up running into a wall, or off a cliff unable to turn or do anything. All the button presses I enter in frustration during this time frame eventually resolve all at once making my character do some random dancing about. It is super frustrating and has been happening fairly consistently for the past few builds.

Does this sort of issue have a name? I wouldn't call it Lag per-say, I feel like if I had a better vocabulary to search I could find a solution.

Has no one else experienced this? It is insanely bazaar, and frustrating.

Do you have raw mouse input enabled?

    Interesting..

    Wireless or wired devices?
If raw input doesn't change anything for you, you could always attempt running process explorer and capture whats going on, if it were reproduce-able enough

    Also.. what models / drivers?

It is wired, I haven't had a chance to mess with anything yet though as I donated my computer to CON-vergence last weekend for their LAN gaming room. I will look into the raw input settings and post more complete stats of my machine this afternoon when I get home from work.

After a bunch of Troubleshooting I determined it wasn't NS2. My Microsoft Sidewinder Keyboard is the problem. It happened in Tomb Raider as well. Apparently when my computer is being taxed the keyboard likes to lag out. When I replaced it with a simple Dell USB keyboard I had no issues. I think the Macro Recording functionality adds a layer of complexity that Windows 8 just doesn't handle very well. Hopefully they fix the drivers at some point but until they do I am just going to switch to a simple keyboard.

I've always thought that the few people who have Latency issues are due to drivers or a middle-layer causing it. This would seem to indicate this happening.
