<div class="IPBDescription">Anyone want help with design of websites</div>Hi all, i have been playing about with some designs for a NS website here is a rough test site so you can view the design

The marines head is a bit passe, as mentioned by MonsE on irc, but this will be changed i think. Also the title could be changed i dunno about sector clear. I wondered if anyone would be interested in putting together a website on anything specific, MonsE mentioned specific mapping sites. I know intermediate HTML Frames Tables and stuff if you want help with that. just count me out on java flash and XHTML.

thanks for the interest shoven any help would be a BIG help, I'm a new media designer myself so I've got quite a bit of experience too pop over to <a href="http://www.sector-clear.co.uk" target="_blank">sector-clear</a>and have a look at my current design for the banner and buttons, if you've got a better idea or suggestions on how it could be improved or it changed just let me know but i'd prefer it if we could work together on the designs if thats okay, because thats really the area I enjoy working on too(i'm never 100% satisfied with my designs and i'm always changing them so there's plenty of options open design wise <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>).

hell i would like to help, but i don't know #### 'bout webdesign, i have a fairly good knowledge of java, for i learned it at university, but i think java-scripts aren't the same as actual java, well i'll look into that within a few weeks, still having exams <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

Welllll....As soon as NS is actually Available for mortals such as I I'm planning on creating a semi-formal group of players who try to promote teamplay and fun ( same as TPF in Teamfortress ) I f you would be so kind as to offer any assistance I would be most gratefull!
btw As for your site:It looks nice but isnt it possible to usen some sort of schnazzy ( pardon my french) lettertype or font?

I personaly would choose frames because there so much easier to update with but thats just my opinion.

Every time I see that image, I think of RR.org. There has GOT to be another background image laying around the wastelands of these sites somewhere. No offense, but it just seems like I'm seeing that marine a lot more than I should.

HI everyone, sorry to be slow about replying, I was ill yesterday but also had a job interview <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Anyhow, heres some repies to your comments/work

yeah I'd like to go with frames bob, what you've done looks fine for starters and I agree about the ease of updating <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

yeah I've gone off the font a bit too and do want to change it, i'll pop some alternatives up at the site and you can all vote for one.

I also want to change the image of the marine and agree completely that it's been done to death, just need some more decent images from NS if possible, anyway i'm going to have a play around with some other ideas. If anyone has any ideas on what could be used let me know or maybe a couple of us can work on it together (bob and shoven and myself? interested?).

Interfactor, good luck with your exams, could probably do something with java somewhere. I did (a tiny bit of) Java at university and I think java and java script are only slightly different but maybe we could come up with some innovative way of using java on the site? anyway let us know when you've done your exams and we'll go from there, cheers.

Asmodai-TPF- yeah if I can help you in anyway i'll try, maybe if I help you you could help me? maybe with teamplay tips etc for the site? whatever, and i'll help you with design or anything I can and i'll use a snazzy font.

Hmm Adding strategies and such is a very good idea.... BTW blinking im goign to send you the frame site now, and also Im not that good with script so I couldnt get the mouse over one to work but im sure you can fix that <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>.
