p.res mine that slows down nearby enemies when triggered.
In essence it allows marines to spend p.res to kill p.res by making it harder for fade/onos to run away.
Various ways to tweak for balance:
p.res cost - might be overpowered for a 15 p.res mine to make it easy to kill a fade, but what if it was 30 p.res? 40? 50?
set-up/build time - make it hard (or impossible) to simply drop it in the path of a higher res lifeform to guarantee the slow. Also makes mine more vulnerable to being wasted (e.g. on a skulk) or otherwise destroyed (by a ranged attack). Alternatively, it could be something you can, indeed, just drop in the path of a fade.
power/duration of slow - does it slow the lifeform to a crawl, or is it more gentle?
area of effect, trigger radius, trigger delay - is it easy to just hop, blink or otherwise avoid the mine?
friendly fire - could also slow any nearby marines.

You'd be stupid to spam 40 p.res mines for instance.
But I don't think this would fit well in the game tbh I'd give it a go if you mod it
