Game Objective

Objective: KILL AS MANY ENEMIES AS POSSIBLE
Objective: OWN EVERY RESOURCE POINT
Objective: CAPTURE THE WHOLE MAP
Objective: TECH UP TO THE MAX

any of this look familiar? No? This may be because the actual, ultimate objective - the one and only true objective in Natural selection is another.

If you're open for advice, remember this: You're going to HAVE TO hit enemy base sooner or later. Only the longer you wait, the harder it usually gets. Enough said. When another argument arises during the game, I will simply refer to this thread. Disagree if you will - but next time you lose a game it may be because the enemy actually destroyed your base while you were eating RTs, or securing an empty room on the far side of the map.

Chess... checkmate the king and you win... easy.

While I agree that the objective that wins the game is destroying all of the enemy tech points, sometimes it's smart to use map control and a resource advantage to build up a reserve of resources to make the game winning push more likely to succeed.

I think though that, at least with aliens, there's often this timidness with finishing the job.

Win the game by killing off the other team but at the moment you might lose concede.

The games objective is pretty much any objective of any conflict. When you have two factions that have a goal (or just really hate each other) that the other gets in the way of, they fight each other to see who obtains their goal and which one doesn't.

I have to agree with what others are saying here: the goal is to win the game. If you lost the game it's because you didn't win enough.

Yeah the objective is to win. If you don't win you lose, it's pretty simple.

Silly me. I thought the objective was to concede the game faster than the enemy team can. It takes a tonne of coordination to get everyone to hit that button you know. And the learning curve is so unreasonably high that rookies often don't even know how to do it!

How exactly did they win that? I still have a lot of learning to do it seems.

You Must not be playing the new build...
If you didn't know they added bonus power nodes to the game... If you distroy the bonus power node aliens auto win (it changes every 2 min so be quick and ignore the res nodes!)

    By concentrating on their objective.

    Winning, that is.

So the big letters in the middle of the screen at the beginning of each round are only visible on MY computer! I should have known all along.
Do you guys get personal missions too? What are they, and why is mine always the same?
