Dynamic prop problem

Hi,

I'm trying to get big animated fan blades to my map. In editor I choose create entity -> prop_dynamic and then I click somewhere on the map, but nothing seems to happen, there was nothing I could click or edit. I even tried clicking prop_dynamic entity over prop_static without luck. So I gave up on that and copy pasted animated fan blades from an official map. Now I got animated fan blades which are too small for my purposes. I tried scaling them bigger which seemed to work in the editor, but when I went to test it in game, it didn't: fan blades were still small and scaling did nothing. I would like to know how to add dynamic props and scale them, thanks!

Hmm is this still happening, yeah your best bet is to copy paste one from another map, the entity is still in the map though,, but it doesn't have a model attached to it when you place it initially (models/props/refinery/refinery_fan128_blades.model)

It's a bug that has been with us since the beginning, but never was reported I think... On it right now :P

Also you cannot scale them as you already know :(

The dynamic prop "entity" is either too small to see or invisible,

Place it down then limit your selection to entity then drag a box around where you placed it.
    Its there :P trust me.

Yeah, it worked! There still seems to be no way of scaling them, so I need to go with static ones :(

Yea I ran into this problem too. Doesn't seem to be a fix... even UWE's own maps suffer from this. Go to Generator in ns2_docking. Look up. See the big fan blade? Now look at it in game. See the small fan blade?

If you want scaled animated object, create custom cinematic file.
