- All the players should see 'commander view rectangle' that commander has on his minimap.
- All the players should see commander tech/research bar by brining up minimap.
These two will help answer one simple question: wtf is commander doing? This should help with 'are we getting x?' problem, when it's already at 90%.
- Commander should see area of effect of every structure/unit when it is selected, including placing it. This means, seeing obs/shade range when placing, arc firing range when selected, etc.
Let commanders, especially less experienced ones, know how well x is going to work in that place before actually spending res on it.
- If any non player unit can move, it should be possible to make it follow something else. Currently, only MACs can do this. So should drifters, arcs, crags, shades, shifts and whips.
These can ease micro on commander, as players themselves can lead arcs/drifters to where they should be. And don't even ask why I want drifter and a shift to follow a gorge. Community will find creative ways to utilize unit follow command, that's for sure.
- Since supply points are introduced, alien commander has to have an option to destroy structures, at least those that consume supply points. No res refund, just a way to destroy x when you can't place y because of supply limit. Same goes for arcs and macs. Sending those on a suicide mission is not a good workaround.
- Allow queuing of researches/production. If you want 5 macs, just click five times and come back later. If you want w1 after a1, just click a1 and then w1. Click again if you changed your mind before it started.
- Let commanders choose preferred spawn location (default IP, prefered Hive)
There are more quality of life features that could help commanders/field players, but they could affect game balance very much. Like, powering down structures (hidden obs that is not broadcasting 'hey there is an obs nearby' /emergency phase gate that is powered down to not interfere with main PG network). This could be too OP, so I'll avoid posting those until I give it more thought.
