My 253 experiences..

Upon seeing the release of 253, I was very excited, I hadn't liked the recent "balance" changes in the last few updates, but had got used to them and was looking forward to a new map, and lots more changes...
we'll start with the good first...
- It feels more like NS1, when moving, and firing etc.. which is GREAT
- FPS has improved, on my system, I have seen about a 5-10 fps increse (i7 860, 16GB DDR3, Radeon 7950, Windows 8)
- Display selection (it would be nice however to be able to use both, have an full-map view constantly on the second display (a-la: Supreme Commander))
The Bad....
- I got the message about optimization as it's a new version, I did this, but then it still did it again on the first server I joined..
- When I eventually got in the first server, it was sat on 999 ping, and I couldn't join any teams..
- When I ALT+TABbed for the first time, it had disappeared from the Windows taskbar, but was still running, I had to use the "Switch to" from task manager to get back to it..
- When I eventually got it back again, upon joining a server it loads and pre-cache's, but then sits there for a good 30 seconds with a black screen before actually letting me in the game...
- While playing the game, I get random 1/2 second freezes, when turning corners, or opening up menu's (main menu, armoury, "X" menu, etc...)
This is it for now, I will continue playing, and add anything else I find!
