ability idea (gorge) (emp)

would be nice if the gorge had some good last resort ability for the really bad situations, this idea is abit random in how I came up with it but I hope its possible.

Gorge EMP.
info: the EMP is a green shell like growth on the back of the gorge(when acquired), that can be detonated by the gorge or the marines(if shot). the EMP is basically a short range bio E.M.P that will disable most human items including weapons (except for the flamethrower, hatchet, wielder, and pistol).
how it works: Unknown how the gorges EMP shell works but it releases a small amount or radiation damaging the gorge, but how it works on the humans tech is known it disables the electronics a bit temporarily. (as for guns lets just say they have electronic firing pins, which are programed to disable when hit by a specific frequency or something)


sorry taht this idea isn't refined. but its more of a in the moment post.

    As for marine reasoning: Nanites.

    I'm not sure whether we need this, though.

    its not needed but it would be cool, imagine that, the marines are pulling an exo rush on a hive and all the sudden a gorge belly slides in, sort of dumb on the gorges part that is until a solder shoots it, the emp explodes and all the sudden the exos and heavy weapons are out for 10 or 15 seconds, giving the karraa enough time to counter the push.

    Brilliant! I can already see the scene:

    TSF Quartermaster: "In a nutshell, we are interested in a very reliable assault rifle or carabine capable of operating under extreme conditions like vacuum, zero gravity, caustic and acidic atmosphere, using ammunition that features both reasonable caliber and optimal weight."
    Weapon manufacturer: "No problem, we have just released a model that fulfils all these criteria."
    TSF Quartermaster: "Oh, and one last thing, make sure the triger mechanism is programmed to jam when hit by that special radiation those green things gorges have on their backs emit when they take damage."
    Weapon manufacturer: "Beg your pardon?"

    So... Would you like the gorge to be 40 res or 60 res?

    Besides, UWE has already said that incapacitate effects are a heavy no-no on their list.

    In any case, can you think of how horrific a marine equivelent would be on the marine side? An AOE bomb that freezes Onos or Fade in place and prevent them from moving? Forums would die from the cries for nerf.
