Can't Adjust brightness

Not sure if this goes here, but pretty much as title describes,
Natural Selection 2 does not have any form of brightness/gamma control that i am aware of in the menu.
I am in a situation where my game is too bright, where as my desktop and every other game either looks fine, or gives me the option to adjust the brightness/gamma.
Now i could manually drop the brightness on my display every single time i decide to launch NS2, but it would be nice if the game actually had the proper feature to change this.
