[engine] input lag hurts game feel

First things first, the spark engine is beautiful. Awesome work Max&co. However, there are a few particular parts of spark that really hurt for action/twitch games like NS.
One of the most frustrating parts of the spark engine is input lag. Despite getting good, steady fps, if you swing the mouse, there is a perceptible delay before your direction changes. As compared to NS1/goldsrc engine, this is realllllly frustrating. It contributes a ton to the "floaty" feel of NS2 (along with the strange/glitchy jumping behavior).
Is this a known problem to the developers, something that is planned to be fixed, or not considered hi-pri enough to get fixed soon?
