I have been play CT for 2 yrs and I am tired of the cheats.  So I was looking to try something different.  Trouble is I cann't download the NS MOD.  Where is it?

    *grin* Welcome to the mod. Bob is presently guarding all downloads of NS, and will bite your fingers off if you try to download it.

    Actually, NS isn't out yet. Won't be out till Feburary at the -earliest-, possibly later.

    First off welcome to the forums, sadly, and second off, NS hasn't been released yet.  I wouldn't say its TOO far from off, but it will still be awhile, sorry if you got your hopes up, stick around here though if you'd like, we are always happy to have more people in the community.

    No probs.  I have a group of guys that I play CS with and they are looking for something new as well...so I will stay tuned.  I mention the cheats in CS and was wondering how you were going to try to control them in NS? (PunkBuster)

    Well, the Hive Mind is almost like a wallhack (only requires someone else on your team to see the person) but by the time NS comes out, hopefully HL 1.2 will be out (or whatever the next version will be) and that -will- have the anti cheat code.

    What about cheating death as an anti cheat, all homelan servers have already switched to it (http://www.cheating-death.com/) But from the way it looks im not sure it will be compatible with the alian hive mind stuff :/. But Id be glad to help test it lol.

    You know those CS 1.4 interveiws that show its new features? One of them is first person spectator mode that valve said will help find cheaters, BUT does that mean the anti-cheat software dont work, cause if it does work we shouldnt have to use first person spectation to find cheaters...

    Not entirely sure CS 1.4 has anti cheat software. I think Valve is coming out with that, and it's not out yet.

    I was talking to my friend and he said that there was a NS demo somewhere in Europe.  I doubt it's true but is it?

    Completely false rumour.  The only publicly available version <i>anywhere</i> is the NSTR, so unless there is some other game named Natural Selection out there, there is no NS demo in Europe.

    There are definitely no public versions that should be able to be downloaded.  If anyone finds a place that's distributing NS, PLEASE tell me right away and you'll be guaranteed a testing spot. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    hey Flayra id go for mapping cuz i do that well i just found how to do operationable maps in one day (i started mapping yesterday) and i made an ns map but when i went to like well play it to see what the fps is and how the lighting is but it was all blurry   :(  but thats pretty good for just 2 days trying to figure out wc dont you think?  :D
