What happened to Eclipse?

It was such a great map, even the few times I played the unfinished version (and I never played NS1, so no nostalgia here!).

Then it vanished and people said it might be made official.

Then it wasn't in the Reinforced update.

What's the status of Eclipse? Any chances we'll see it in the future? :)
