Idea how to add more money to UWE beer fund.

I see you guys add new features to the game like patches and skins for people to donate to feed the UWE crew fund. It would be nice if you guys would allow clans and people make their own unique patches and skins, then make them pay $x to have it be used on all the different servers. It would be nice to have something visually different about a group that can be controlled by the group. I am talking about server side skins and patches, not just something like a client side skin that anyone can do.

    O.O
Now that's something i'd donate for, even with my limited funds.

Unless there's some kind of strict approval system in place, I day its a terrible idea. To easy to exploit.

On a side note, these would probably be applicable to public servers only. I can already see the drama of "team x models are harder to see on map y". No league admins in their right mind would allow custom skins in a competitive game.

Shoulder decals and icons for the scoreboard could work though.

I've wanted global updates for popular mods from the start, paying for them sounds silly

aka - this mod is super popular, download it to all clients, could be done for well made maps, models, or etc

Isn't that just integrating popular mods into the game and making them official? I'm pretty sure they've been doing it for a while now. Also, bare in mind that simply enabling mods for all players without having control over them is a risky move. Especially since big updates tend to brake them.

I wouldn't be suprised if they allready planned custom shoulder patches for a fair but supporting amount of money. I would pay around 25$ to be able to use my own shoulder patch. That is if people that don't pay can't have shoulder patches.

Maybe UWE should do the same as Valve: let the community create skins then vote for the best and add them into the game and give the original creater like 20 % of the earnings
