Files do not match-intermittent

Yeah I know it comes up a lot as a common problem, but what would cause this error to occur intermittently? Sometimes I can join a server, sometimes I can't join that same server, sometimes I'll play a round or four and then get kicked after a map change on the same server, sometimes I'll even get kicked from my own listen server or sandbox game.

Err....that sounds odd. Sounds like something failing the hash check. Have you seen the errors / logs?
You could just try Nuking it from orbit.. its the only way to be sure.
