My english is not the best, i used the Google translator, sorry for that!
Here my problems at PCLinuxOS:
Game takes forever to start.
Graphical errors in the first seconds of the main menu.
Mouse pointer is incorrect.
After double click in the server browser, it takes about 3 minutes into the game (Windows version braucht ca. 40 sekunden)
Little fps in menu.
Mouse pointer is incorrect ingame.
Mouse freezes monitor at edge, It is not possible to move reasonable (Ingame).
After disconnect it takes forever until the menu is.
The basic setup guide for linux I've read.
yours sincerely, Zhenwu

Sorry, my fault.
My system:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3740QM CPU @ 2.70GHz
4GB Ram
Wimbledon XT [Radeon HD 7970M] GPU
PCLinuxOS 64bit
After i start the game, it need long time into the main menu. The attached file shows the main menu, after about 10 seconds it returns to normal.
if everything works, just not right

I experience the same issues with catalyst 12.8, not sure which kernel I'm on at this moment, will check when I'm back home.
In addition, if I alt tab during loading (which I do because it takes quite a while) the NS2 window will remain black until I hear the ready room sounds, after which I will press ESC for the menu, alt tab out and alt tab back in, then I can view the game again.
Once playing FPS will vary between 15-50, depending on if anything interesting is happening.
Settings: everything at max, same as in Windows.
Specs:
distro: Manjaro (arch based)
desktop environment: xfce
cpu: i5 2500k
ram: 8gb
gpu: 7950oc
drive: crucial m500 120gb ssd
everything at stock speeds
I will test other Games but Savage 2 runs perfect.

Hopefully good news for the amd users on the horizon.
