Vortex Pull

I'd like to propose a change in vortex that I think would make it more flexible (practical) in terms of uses and in terms of skill required to utilize effectively.
The idea is to change vortex into a projectile that will teleport a hit player to the Fade's position. Specifically, to the location directly in front of where the fade was at when he shot the vortex projectile.
The facing of the teleporting marine will be the same facing he had when initially hit. Therefore it would probably be a bad idea to use it on a shotgun player looking directly at you. On the other hand using it to pull marines from the side or behind would be more sensible. You could also use it to pull exos or specific players out of a marine ball. It would also work well in combination with Stab.
I doubt the ability would be overpowered. Altering the size and speed of the projectile will allow for a lot of adjustments in order to find a 'sweet spot' in terms of difficulty of hitting a marine target with. Additionally the ability would require (at least initial) line of sight to hit the target with. Meaning it would be highly probable the fade player would be in the LOS of any allies the target marine was grouped with.
You might argue it would allow fade to drop marine players to their deaths (i.e. off cliffs or over lava). However, at the point that vortex comes out marines will most likely have jetpacks. Moreover the fade would have to actually hit the marine player with the projectile, while in the air over the pit of death. This, combined with the projectile not being instantaneous, would, I believe, make this scenario highly unlikely.
What do you think? I'm interested in any of your thoughts and suggestions on the matter.

Seriously, though, it would be annoying as hell. Not only the game is fast as hell, it stutters and rubber bands often, being suddenly displaced would be supper annoying. Considering the speed disparity, it would mean certain death for the marine most of the time.
I agree that the current Vortex is weird and counter-productive, turning the fade into some kind of undead spectre that appears, spreads his claws and disappears again with little effect, but it will have to be reshaped some other way.
