Configure Textura detail/level with console commands

Hi, in UT i could change texture level do a very LOW (REAL Low) with the help of the console....

I want to make my NS looks like in this screenshot.... Anyway?

that's what the game looks like when it's not done caching or loading whatever, when you first join a server.. it's like very low detail and funny thing is me and someone else brought it up and wished that was a graphic setting, because not only would it buff up performance even more, it makes everything very bland and easy on the eyes (especially for focusing) much like quakeworld on lowest, it's like the map is there but it's no distraction from you and your targets

it's pretty much fantastiwonderful, funny how people want ultra details when in reality.. it's simply better with almost none!

heh I did that once by downscaling the textures from for example 2048x2048 -> 32x32 or 512x512 -> 8x8 etc... Called it NS2Pixel, it didn't have any impact on FPS at all though

I've been trying to figure out how to replicate that bug, i would LOVE to play 6v6 in that mode!!!

That would do nothing for performance, so the only reason you would want to do that is to basically get alien vision as marine. Leave it be.

I did not know Natural Selection 2 was on Nintendo 64 :O

Perhaps it would not improve performance but it might prevent the 32 bit out of memory crashes that prevent me and others from playing the game, thus I would really appreciate someone telling me how to do this. If it is possible.

If you can play for 2 minutes in a map, the bug is probably not on the graphical area. More likely on code and / or I/O problems.
