[Linux] Error launching the game (with black screen!)

Hello

After updating my kernel to Ubuntu's 3.11.0-11 and Nvidia binary drivers to 319.60 the game stopped working. After launching, I get 'Error: Program binary could not be loaded. Binary is not compatible with current driver/hardware combination.' in terminal.
I tried downgrading drivers(to 304 and 310), but it didn't help. As for kernel, for some reason DKMS won't work with 3.11.0-9 and the system boots without OpenGL.

Anyone had a similar issue? Any ideas for a solution?

Info:
Software: 64bit Ubuntu 13.10, nvidia-319-updates (319.60)
Hardware: i5-3570k, GF 670

BTW. I realize 13.10 is not officially supported by Steam, and presumably NS2 - but till now, it worked perfect.

I was the impression that 13.10 was only a nightly dev build. I would guess that after tonight's nightly it should work better. If the system comes up with no open gl that seems like it would be something better asked about ubuntu vs ns2.

The no-OpenGL part is a side issue. And 13.10 is in its late beta stage so its mostly stable. But nevermind.
Since I'm an update junkie, I have a decent backup system. I did a quick OS reinstall, restored all my settings on fresh install and it works correctly now. It's a microsoft patch, but it worked. :>

Good deal, If you run into any other issues with 13.10, postabout it because it is after all nearly a public release and more testing is better testing:)

Hey, i had similar problems after updating the graphic driver for my AMD Radeon HD 6850 card. The graphic of the menu was broken. After deleting the Natural Selection 2 folder in /home/<username>/.config/ the graphic problems were gone.

the compiled shaders files are saved in this folder, which doesnt seem to work after a graphic driver update.

Edit: Sorry, read your post wrong. But maybe it help someone other.
