Shadow Tier upgrade: No evident change?

Late last night i purchased silver tier, and redeemed the rewards. This morning i went to the shadow tier page, entered my forum login information, and the box disappeared. Aside from that, i've seen no change. My badge is still silver, i have had no emails, and i cannot access any of the shadow content.
Is it because i redeemed my silver tier?

    Should have an email from the humble bundle people with two things: steam key for shadow content, and ns2-specific id for getting your badge to work.

    Only email i received was the one containing my Silver tier key, no other emails from Humble have been sent.

    EDIT: They've upgraded to a new Steam Key system, that's likely what's been causing the delay.
