Hi, I would like to know what settings I will need to play for this game, here are my specifications :

Asus G53S
Intel Core i7 2630QM @ 2 GHz
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. G53SW 1.0
6 Go DDR3 RAM memory
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M

I hope it's the way I should proceed, a friend who's played this game for a long time advised me to create that thread, if I should do something else let me know please!

My personal opinion is that regardless of hardware you 'should' play with your native resolution on lowest settings, the game actually looks quite nice and removes any type of 'fine' detail which would prove too distracting when you really need to aim, plus the extra frames do nothing but help.. this is for any multiplayer game really

But it's preference, some people would take visuals over framerate.. For you though I'd keep anything that is handled by the cpu on a lower setting...... not really sure what falls under that category, also you'll probably have some framerate dips on higher playercount servers and it looks like that's a laptop so I'm not sure how performance would vary compared to a pc but I can only assume worse

With @ezekel here, native res, everything else on low, if you get plenty of fps then you can start turning stuff on if you'd like. Some settings will hurt fps MUCH more than others though, like occlusion and atmospherics.

I also play in native 1080p with everything except textures on low. I need to get as close to 120fps stable for the Turbo 240 on my Eizo to work.

I have the same cpu as you, but I have more RAM and better GPU.

If you have 1.5 GB VRAM or more, texture on high, if 1 GB, medium, try testing particle high or low but high should work fine, I would suggest u put decal life in the middle, try switching between infestation settings, AA bloom and atmospherics off, AF on, AO reflections and shadows off.

Personally I would have texture streaming off. I also suggest you overclock your gpu by a moderate amount.

You can't turn texture streaming off, the option is a lie. While originally an option, it is basically a part of the engine now, so you can't really turn it off properly.
