I just bought this game via Steam but it won't start. I've verified cache integrity but that did not fix the problem. I was looking forward to play this game.

Could you post the log (console output) and some details about your pc?

Why on earth did you hide the edit button behind a gear? Also, logs are NOT in the location indicated in the post on tech support stuff.

I've tried installing a different driver for my Intel card, but glasen is not up to date w/ 13.10 and I'm unable to find an alternative that supports my OS version.

yeah, for intel hardware there is not currently a working version on linux since you have to have opengl 3.1 compatibility context which is not possible in mesa.

the log locations and what not are in the linux guide: http://wiki.unknownworlds.com/ns2/Linux_Guide

    ~/.local/Natural Selection 2/log.txt

edit: compatibility has an m i promise.

That directory does not exist. Only ~/.local/share/Steam/....
    Neither in the NS2 folders
