just downloaded and started up. i hear sound but black screen. can i please find out how to change it to windows mode so i can change the resolution

To change the resolution outside of NS2 you can edit the options.xml file in: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2
To get there quickly: Windows key + R, enter %appdata% and hit enter.
