Will not load menus

I am having an issue with loading the submenus from the main menu. Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about: http://i.imgur.com/NXAUt3e.jpg

I see the same thing with the "Play" and "Options" sub menus. I tried validating my local file and everything looks OK. What can I do to fix this issue? Thanks!

First of all, when making any tech support post, you should always post your log in %AppData%Natural Selection 2/log.txt

This is a known update/dl issue:

Best way to fix it is to nuke ns2.

If your internet is not that fast you may try to verify your game files via steam first and see if that fixes it. But in most cases ppl had to do a full nuke.

Edit: Because i feel bad that you had to wait so long i give you a semi-nuke guide which should also fix the issue (and only needs 10 MB dl):

1. Go into your ns2 install folder (right click Natural Selection 2 in your steam library > Properties > Local Files tab > Open local files)
2. Delete the folders core and ns2/lua
3. Verify you have everything by right clicking Natural Selection 2 in your steam library > Properties > Local Files tab > Verify Intregrity of Game Cache
Steam should download then about 10 mb and everything should work fine again
