I fixed all the thumbnails by regenerating them in the forever useful 249 build (I hate myself for not thinking to do this sooner)

No more claymode ugliness
Just go to %AppData%/Natural Selection 2/Editor/ and nuke the cache, replace with this.
There's still a few things that are not fixed as they weren't copied over into 249 build.
