Black screen on startup

Once I start up the game via Steam, I get a black screen and immediately a debug report comes up as the game crashes. I don't hear any sounds or get to any menus. I've tried starting the game up in windowed mode, reinstalling, verifying the game cache, updating my graphics drivers and the directx drivers.

The log.txt comes up with this:

Hi, can you add a full tech_support.zip. Atm it looks like the game_setup.xml is missing in your gamefolder

Ok the exe is unable to read the files:

We had similair issues in the past

Try these things:

1.Check if files are in ns2 folder.
2. Run ns2.exe as administartor.
3. Disable your security suite for a short while and see if it works.
4. Copy ns2 onto another drive.

Report back after you tried those and good luck.

Running the .exe as an administrator seems to work for now! Thanks!!
