Game will not stay focused (sort of)

Every time I've tried to start the game up, it quickly shows a black screen (no images or anything), then returns to my desktop, still running in the background. If I click on the icon or alt tab back to it, it will again show me a black screen for about a second and then go back to my desktop. I don't think it's hung up on anything, as I can close it no problem by right clicking the icon in the task bar. I first tried verifying the games files, that did nothing, then I tried to delete a few folders as mentioned in a few threads here, and again verifying the cache, downloading the files I deleted. I then followed this guide, and I'm still having the same issue :(. I have run the game under Linux before, could that potentially be the problem? (some mismatched setting somewhere?)

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give!

Ok the issue seems to be your gpu driver. Try to update it.

I've got the latest driver according to GFE, though I'm not on beta drivers, do I need those for a 660? This is also the only game I'm having any trouble with (even ArmA2 runs fine and that game can be a total mess if you're having driver issues)...

You may need to uninstall the driver, use a 3rd party cleaner like cc cleaner, and then reinstall the drivers again (resetting after each step)

Actually the game just works now, no idea why though, never touched my drivers...
