Massive Microstuttering/FpsDrops

System Specs:

AMD Phenom 955BE @ 3,8Ghz
4Gb G.Skill Ripjaws 1333
XFX Radeon 5770 HD
Crucial M4
Catalyst Driver 13.12
Windows 7 64

I bought the game yesterday on Steam after watching some vids/tuts on Youtube.
I put my settings all to low/off @ 1920x1080 resolution and went into trainingmode to play a few rounds and get the hang of it.

I was immediately aware of massive microstuttering and some hefty Fps drops (from 60 to 20 etc) rendering the game completely unplayable for me, even at decent framerates the microstuttering was just so bad that it felt if i was running on a quarter or third of my actual framerate showed by r_stats.

My r_stats for "waiting for gpu" was usually something like 0-5 and for "waiting for thread" 0-3.
After fiddling around myself with different ingame settings, like going to 640x480res or vsync on/off etc and seeing nearly no change, i went into the forums and googled for tweaks and possible fixes.

I tried most of the stuff that was advised, disabling aero, running as admin, putting process priority to high, running windowed mode, my cores are already unparked, but with no success for probably 2-3 hours until i gave up.

I hope somebody can help me to get this thing running because it looks awesome, usually it should run fine with appropriate settings on my system that is meeting the "recommended specs".

That aside, if i cant get it running remotely close to playable the next 1-2 days which would be sad, is there an option to refund it ?

P.S.: I dont think its some kind of hardware or Driver problem, Planetside 2 (which is also pretty CPU intensive) and BF4 run just fine with appropriate settings.

r_stats 1 is important but it seems you already ran that. You want to be as close to 0 on both as you can.
Note DX11 is in beta and can perform either extremely well or total crap. Try both dx9 and dx11.

net_stats 1 to check server tickrate. Any tickrate lower then 30, often, will show a problem. (never tried if this applies if you are on your own listenserver).

    Run profiler:
    * "profile" in console.
    * after a stutter use "spacebar" key to pause.
    * use "[" and "]" keys to select the highest yellow columns in the bottom menu. These are your frames/frametimes. Highest are the ones taking longest. Big differences inbetween frames can also be of interrest (smoothness).
    * use mouse to click open the purple bars, extend the biggest ones to its fullest.
    * screenshot everything & share. Many PTs have seen enough of the profiler to share some love.
