What games does this game compare to?

Can someone name a few games which would play 'like' this game?

or has not enough info been released to decide something like this -- was just reading through several threads and didn't get much info out of them

Well in time it could compare to Star Citizen.

That's not what he meant, and the devs have specifically said it's not going to be an sea-citizen
Well as we can't get a clear idea as to how the game is meant to be played.. this is going to be interesting.

My rose-colored oracle says its a combination of:
    a) the open-ended-ness and exploration of Minecraft
    b) the beauty and diversity of Oblivion
    c) the upgradability of FTL
...underwater (with biggest emphasis on exploration, and not combat).

Clear? (If so, you know more than I do).

P.S. There has been talk of lots of other stuff (like the ability to mine/collect), but nothing set in stone.
